The mass-energy distributions and cross sections of proton-induced fission of 232Th have been measured at the proton energies of 7, 10, 13, 20, 40, and 55 MeV. Experiments were carried out at the proton beam of the K-130 cyclotron of the JYFL Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyväskylä and U-150m cyclotron of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The yields of fission fragments in the mass range A = 60–170 a.m.u. have been measured up to…

4He, 10Be, and 34Mg accompanied ternary fission of the 242Pu isotope in the touching equatorial configuration

Abstract.4He, 10Be, and 34Mg accompanied ternary fission of the 242Pu isotope is investigated using the three-cluster model in the equatorial geometry. Driving potentials and fission yields are

Prompt fission neutron emission in neutron and proton induced reactions at intermediate energies

The generalized model for the description of the prompt fission neutron spectra and multiplicities at neutron and proton energies up to about 100 MeV is described. The three main emission mechanisms

Fission fragment yields in the fission of /sup 232/Th by protons of energies 8 to 22 MeV

Excitation functions of fission products for 22 fragment masses and neutron-evaporation products, (p,n), (p,2n), and (p,3n), were measured in detail for the system of /sup 232/Th+p in proton energy

Partition of total excitation energy between fragment pairs in asymmetric and symmetric fission modes

Primary and secondary fragment mass and fragment total kinetic energy were measured by the time-of-flight technique in the 12 MeV proton induced fission of {sup 232}Th. The average neutron

Consistent theoretical model for the description of the neutron-rich fission product yields

The consistent model for the description of the independent fission product formation cross-section at light projectile energies up to about 100MeV is described. Pre-compound nucleon emission is
