  • Protonation equilibria of the neurotransmitter serotonin and its precursor 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) are characterized at the macroscopic and microscopic levels. 1H-NMR-pH and UV-pH titrations were carried out to determine the macroconstants.
