PURPOSE To use proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) to measure in vivo temporal lobe GABA and glutamate plus glutamine (GLX) concentrations in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) attributable to unilateral hippocampal sclerosis (HS) before and following anterior temporal lobe resection (ATLR).
