PURPOSE We report the common characteristics of juvenile pilocytic astrocytomas revealed by proton MR spectroscopy. METHODS Eight children with pilocytic astrocytomas were studied with proton MR spectroscopy. The selected sampling volume was approximately 4 cm3, obtained from solid tumor.
