Abstract 1. 1. The molecular weights of the protein subunits in the potato virus X group were determined by gel electrophoresis in polyacrylamide containing dodecylsulfate. The weights were (20.2 ± 0.5) · 103 for white clover mosaic virus, (21.1 ± 0.3) · 103 for papaya mosaic virus, (19.4 ± 0.3) · 103 and (20.1 ± 0.4) · 103 for two strains of cactus virus X, respectively, and (19.0 ± 0.2) · 103 for clover yellow mosaic virus. 2. 2.
