Doxorubicin, a widely used chemotherapeutic agent, can give rise to severe cardiotoxicity by inducing cardiomyocyte apoptosis. Dracocephalum rupestre Hance, a Chinese traditional herb, has therapeutic potential for cardiovascular diseases.
