The ameliorative effect of external Ca on Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus L.) under salt stress was studied through biochemical and physiological analyses of Jerusalem artichoke seedlings treated with or without 10 mol L CaCl2, 150 mmol L NaCl, and/or 5 mmol L ethylene-bis(oxyethylenenitrilo)-tetraacetic acid (EGTA) for five days.
