Copper-rutin complex (2 mg/kg) completely eliminated epileptiform potentials induced by a combination of chlorpromazine and microwave radiation 1-2 min postinjection and suppressed convulsive activity provoked by application of penicillin to the sensorimotor cortex.

An Abstract of up to 250 words describing the purpose of the study, the methods, the results, and the conclusion should precede the main text.
Copper sulfate inhibits seizure activity induced by pentylenetetrazole in mice
Comparison of the effect of , saline or sodium valproate on seizure parameters such as stage 2 latency, stage 5 latency and stage 5 duration showed that  dose-dependently reduced seizure.
Trace elements and electrolytes homeostasis and their relation to antioxidant enzyme activity in brain hyperexcitability of epileptic patients.
It is concluded that adequate trace elements and antioxidants supply is important for brain functions and prevention of neurological diseases and further elucidation of the pathological actions of such substances in the brain should result in new therapeutic approaches.
Effect of plant polyphenols on seizures – animal studies
The ability of flavonoids to prevent brain excitability and to protect the brain against oxidative stress-induced damage suggests a potential use of some flavonoid at least as adjunctive therapy for the treatment of epilepsy.
Properties and applications of flavonoid metal complexes
Flavonoids are widely occurring polyphenol compounds of plant origin with multiple biological and chemical activities. Due to the presence of carbonyl and hydroxyl groups they can coordinate metal
Modulation of human keratinocyte responses to solar UV by plant polyphenols as a basis for chemoprevention of non-melanoma skin cancers.
It is concluded that, among the PPs investigated, verbascoside does interfere with multiple UV-sensitive signalling in HEK in a way that it could have a major impact on skin cancer chemoprevention.

Chronic focal epileptiform discharges induced by injection of iron into rat and cat cortex.
Recurrent focal epileptiform discharge caused by cortical injection of iron salts suggests that the development of human posttraumatic epilepsy may depend, in part, on the neurochemical alterations induced by the principal metallic ions found in whole blood.
Influence of metal ions on flavonoid protection against asbestos-induced cell injury.
The results of the present study show that flavonoid metal complexes may be effective therapy for the inflammatory response associated with the inhalation of asbestos fiber.
