Abstract A random, masked prospective study was performed on one hundred patients undergoing elective extracapsular cataract extraction to evaluate Ocufen's ability to maintain dilation of the pupil. All of the patients received a standard dilating regimen before surgery; all irrigating solutions used during surgery contained adrenalin 1:100,000; half also received Ocufen drops.
