Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2 )-stimulated G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) activation inhibits pro-fibrotic TGFβ-dependent stimulation of human fibroblast to myofibroblast transition (FMT), though the precise molecular mechanisms are not fully understood.
