This study was performed to determine the impact of the inflammatory mediator prostaglandin E(2) (PGE(2)) on the biophysical properties of tetrodotoxin resistant voltage-gated Na(+) currents (TTX-R I(Na)) in colonic dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons.
