We report the recovery of root nodules from P. glandulosa var. glandulosa in the eastern portion of its range, where the species reaches its greatest vegetational development. Single cores 4.7 cm in diameter and up to 250 cm deep yielded from 0 to over 250 nodules. Nodules were found at all depths below 10 cm, with the highest concentration often around 100 cm.
