We propose to obtain the spectroscopic information of Ξ-hypernucleus, 12 Ξ Be, through the C(K,K) reaction by using the high-intensity K− beam at JPARC. Ξ-hypernuclei, the existence of which is not well established so far, will be observed for the first time with enough statistics and a good energy resolution of ∼3 MeV. In order to perform such high-resolution spectroscopy, a new K spectrometer will be constructed based on the existing SKS spectrometer. We request two weeks for the tuning of… Expand
