Abstract 1. 1. A thermal denaturation technique was employed to measure the changes in the proportion of weakly stabilized parts of chromatin, which presumably correspond to its template active parts. 2. 2. Comparing the chromatin of developing sea urchin embryos at successive stages, a clear distinction was found in the pattern of the denaturation profile between early and late blastula stages, suggesting that the template availability was released on a large scale at late blastula stage. 3. 3… CONTINUE READING
