Measurements of composition show that DMPC/A-1 molar ratios in the dimer and trimer complexes vary with the initial proportion of lipid to protein, but rise to a maximum of approximately 200:l and 400:1, re- spectively. Both the dimer and trimer complex were found to be equally stable to denaturation by guanidine hydrochloride as determined by fluorescence measure- ments.
