Comparative effects of four barbiturates, phenobarbital (PB), amobarbital (AB), sodium barbital (NaBB), and barbituric acid (BA) on the development of neoplasms in the intestinal tract and other organs were investigated in rats following initiation with methyl(acetoxymethyl)nitrosamine (DMN-OAc).
