Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the severe metabolic disorders of carbohydrate metabolism worldwide. Developing countries are at higher risk of DM, and there is significant evidence that it is epidemic in many economically developing and newly industrialized countries. Among all other complications associated with DM, delayed wound healing is a major concern in diabetic patients. Wound healing is a natural healing process that starts immediately after injury. This involves interaction of a…
Recent advances on the association of apoptosis in chronic non healing diabetic wound.
TLDR
The hypothesis that the oxidative stress, apoptosis, connexins and other molecules involved in the regulation of chronic wound healing in diabetes mellitus is supported and proper understanding of the mechanisms controlling apoptosis and tissue repair during diabetes is given and may eventually develop therapeutic modalities to fasten the healing process in diabetic patients.
Wound Healing and the Use of Medicinal Plants
TLDR
An extensive survey of literature reporting the use of medical plants and plant-based products for cutaneous wounds describes the active ingredients, bioactivities, clinical uses, formulations, methods of preparation, and clinical value of 36 medical plant species.
Effect of photobiomodulation on CCC-ESF reactive oxygen species steady-state in high glucose mediums
TLDR
It is concluded that PBM can maintain the ROS homeostasis, increase the TAC of cells, and trigger the cellular proliferation, and the response of CCC-ESFs to PBM was dose-dependent.
Redox for Repair: Cold Physical Plasmas and Nrf2 Signaling Promoting Wound Healing
TLDR
New links between plasma treatment of cells and tissues, and the perception and intracellular translation of plasma-derived reactive species via redox signaling pathways are discussed, which reanimates the idea of redox repair in physiological healing.
Optical measurement of tissue perfusion in diabetic wound patients
TLDR
Immediate action on changes in the standard clinical treatment may be taken following poor response of ulcer healing progress to prevent further deterioration of wounds, which may lead to foot amputation.
The influence of autoblood treated with an improved preservation solution on the wound healing of diabetes mellitus mouse models and the functional mechanism of the HIF-1α signaling pathway in wound healing
Objective: This paper aims to analyze the promotion effect of autoblood treated with an improved preservation solution (IPS) on the wound healing (WH) of diabetes mellitus (DM) mouse models. Methods:
Angiopoietin‐like 4 production upon treatment with hypoxia and L‐mimosine in periodontal fibroblasts
TLDR
Hypoxia and the hypoxia mimetic agent L‐mimosine can stimulate angiopoietin‐like 4 production in monolayer cultures of PDLF, and this increase depends on HIF‐1 activity.
Deduction of Novel Genes Potentially Involved in Keratinocytes of Type 2 Diabetes Using Next-Generation Sequencing and Bioinformatics Approaches
TLDR
The potential miR-340-3p-DTX3L interaction that has been systematically validated in miRNA prediction databases was proposed to participate in the disrupted skin homeostasis, altering the defense and immune response of diabetic skin.
Regenerative Secretoma of Adipose-Derived Stem Cells from Ischemic Patients
TLDR
It is confirmed that high-quality adipose stem cells can be easily derived from ischemic patients and their transcriptome and secretome show a regenerative profile which makes them promising candidates for autologous therapy of chronic ulcers.
Hard-to-heal wounds: a randomised trial of an oral proline-containing supplement to aid repair.
TLDR
Specialised ONS can be a therapeutic option for hard-to-heal wounds and did not induce changes in blood pressure, blood glucose level or renal function, according to the literature.

Hyperglycaemic conditions decrease cultured keratinocyte mobility: implications for impaired wound healing in patients with diabetes
TLDR
It is hypothesized that the impaired wound healing in patients with DM is due to the disruption of proper re‐epithelialization, which leads to complications including poor wound healing.

TLDR
Findings provide the first evidence that STC1 promotes re-epithelialization in wound healing and were further supported by the scratched wound assay.
MicroRNA-203 contributes to skin re-epithelialization
TLDR
The data suggest that miR-203, by controlling the expression of target proteins that are responsible for both keratinocyte proliferation and migration, exerts a specific role in wound re-epithelialization and epidermal homeostasis re-establishment of injured skin.
Effect of Angiopoietin-Like Protein 4 on Severe Acute Pancreatitis-induced Lung Injury in Rats
TLDR
The results showed that the Angptl4 level was significantly increased after rosiglitazone (the PPAR-γ agonist) treatment, but there is no difference in GW9662 (PPar-γ antagonist) group.
Physiology and Pathophysiology of Wound Healing
The process of wound healing is characterized by a cascade of interrelated events involving inflammatory factors and pathways, resident cells, cells recruited to the site of injury, growth factors,
