PURPOSE To investigate the mechanism of angiogenesis in proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) and Eales' disease (ED) on the basis of the levels of proinflammatory cytokines, angiogenic growth factor, and antiangiogenic factor in the vitreous humor.
