uncomplicated bioprosthetic replacement of the aortic valve and coronary artery bypass grafting developed transient postoperative thrombocytopenia, followed by a second decline in platelet count. He was clinically stable and did not have new symptoms or postoperative complications. There was no evidence of sepsis, thrombosis or hemorrhage.
