OBJECTIVE To describe the viroimmunologic response and its prognostic factors 6 months after initiating triple antiretroviral therapy in a cohort of HIV-1-infected patients. METHODS Positive virologic response during follow-up (VL+) was defined as plasma HIV RNA level <500 copies/ml and positive immunologic response (CD4+) as an increase of CD4+ count of at least 50 cells/mm3.
