OBJECTIVE To determine the prognostic role of p53, Ki-67 and p21 for patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer treated with curative intent by radiotherapy. PATIENTS AND METHODS The study included 131 patients (24 women and 107 men, median age 72 years, range 40-86) with transitional cell carcinoma (T2-T4) treated with external definitive pelvic radiotherapy between 1985 and 1994.
