Malignant fibrous histiocytoma, the major subset of soft tissue sarcomas, was examined for prognostic factors that could influence clinical management and research. Two hundred twenty-seven patients with localized disease, having surgery as the principal modality, were reviewed retrospectively to identify clinical outcomes.
