Prognosis of stable patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE) has been assessed with cardiac troponin I (cTnI) and right ventricular (RV) function or size. Whether creatine kinase-MB isoenzyme (CK-MB) would add to the prognostic assessment is uncertain.
