BACKGROUND/PURPOSE Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) arising from a mature cystic teratoma of the ovary is rare and only reported sporadically. Clinical information on the disease is limited. This study assesses the clinical characteristics, treatment, outcome and prognostic factors of reported cases.
