Progesterone antagonists (PAs) (antiprogestins) or progesterone receptor modulators (PRMs) form an interesting category of new hormonal agents in the treatment of breast cancer. In vitro, antiproliferative effects of different PAs are mainly observed in estrogen-stimulated growth of PR-positive tumor cell lines.
