The effects of transgene delivery by adenoviral vectors were studied by probing a 588 gene, mouse cDNA array with mRNA derived from infected liver. The liver tissues were obtained from naive mice and mice infected with replication-deficient adenovirus, adenovirus expressing transforming growth factor β1 (TGFβ1), and adenovirus expressing connective tissue growth factor (CTGF). Expression of 98 genes was detected in the array analysis. The increased expression of the transcripts for Stat1, gamma… Expand
Mutual Interference of Adenovirus Infection and myc Expression
TLDR
It is concluded that adenovirus infection leads to the stabilization of MYC, perhaps as a side effect of E1A activities, and myc mRNA levels are negatively regulated during adenavirus infection, and this may avoid the detrimental effect of excessive Myc oncogene replication. Expand
Adenoviral gene transfer of connective tissue growth factor in the lung induces transient fibrosis.
TLDR
It is demonstrated that CTGF overexpression can initiate fibrogenic activity but likely requires the presence of additional factors, such as tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1, to maintain a nonfibrolytic environment and to cause progression of fibrosis. Expand
Differential expression of proinflammatory cytokine genes in vivo in response to pathogenic and nonpathogenic pneumovirus infections.
TLDR
The results suggest that pneumovirus replication alone is insufficient to promote antiviral inflammation and that evaluation of the more divergent strain-specific pneumov virus proteins may provide some intriguing leads toward the molecular basis of this differential response. Expand

TLDR
A detailed protocol for the use of gene chips to dissect the toxicogenomic signature of human and canine helper-dependent adenoviral vectors is described and specific procedures suited for the study of these viral vectors are suggested. Expand

TLDR
The studies show that the impact of the viral capsid on cellular gene expression, and potential host toxicity, must be considered independent of the vector genome for safe gene transfer in the clinic. Expand
Gene expression profiles differ markedly in mouse strains that are (or are not) susceptible to hyperthyroidism induced using thyrotropin receptor-expressing adenovirus.
TLDR
In C57BL/6 mice, decreased expression of genes such as cathelicidin, calgranulins, and lipocalin following TSHR A-subunit adenovirus immunization suggests the importance of innate immunity in this response. Expand
Transcriptional Response of Human Neurospheres to Helper-Dependent CAV-2 Vectors Involves the Modulation of DNA Damage Response, Microtubule and Centromere Gene Groups
TLDR
The transcriptomic modulation induced by HD-CAV-2 in human differentiated neurospheres derived from midbrain progenitors is analyzed and it is suggested here that the modulation of DNA damage genes is related to viral DNA, while the alteration of centromeric and microtubule probes is possibly enchained by the interaction of the HD-CAV-2 fibre with CAR. Expand
Use of DNA Microarrays to Monitor Host Response to Virus and Virus-Derived Gene Therapy Vectors
TLDR
It is predicted that the development of accessible repositories containing most of the DNA microarray data on viral infections will certainly help to elucidate the puzzling pictures of different viral infections, crucially important for the correct handling of viral diseases and the intelligent amelioration of viral vectors for gene therapy. Expand
Expression profiling in transformed human B cells: influence of Btk mutations and comparison to B cell lymphomas using filter and oligonucleotide arrays
TLDR
The use of microarray is demonstrated for the first time to study the influence of Btk mutations and the use of functional annotation and validation of expression data by comparison of micro array analyses. Expand
Adenoviral gene transfer of active human transforming growth factor-{beta}2 elevates intraocular pressure and reduces outflow facility in rodent eyes.
TLDR
The adenoviral TGFbeta2 rodent model displays the glaucoma risk factors of elevated IOP and decreased aqueous outflow facility and may potentially serve as a model for studying glau coma. Expand
