We examined the level of plasma amino acids, glucose, immunoreactive insulin (IRI) and immunoreactive glucagon (IRG) of patients in the fasted state with acute hepatitis in the actual acute stage (AHa), acute hepatitis in the convalescent stage (AHc), chronic active hepatitis (CAH), chronic persistent hepatitis (CPH) and liver cirrhosis (LC).
