Incubation of heat-denatured plasma from the rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss with porcine pancreatic kallikrein generates, in addition to bradykinin-related peptides, previously uncharacterized peptides that contract mammalian and amphibian vascular smooth muscle.
