Monoclonal antibodies specific for sheep IgG subclasses IgG1 or IgG2 were produced using conventional cell fusion techniques. Monoclonal antibodies detected by preliminary screening assays were further characterized and their specificity verified by titration of ascites in radioimmunoassay or passive haemagglutination using pure sheep IgG1 or IgG2.
