BACKGROUND Procalcitonin is involved in the inflammatory response and is associated with adverse prognosis in certain conditions. AIMS To investigate the association between procalcitonin and major adverse cardiac events (MACE), left ventricular (LV) function and remodelling following acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
