We derive the cross-section for exclusive vector meson production in high energy deeply inelastic scattering off a deuteron target that disintegrates into a proton and a neutron carrying large relative momentum in the final state. This cross-section can be expressed in terms of a novel gluon Transition Generalized Parton Distribution (T-GPD); the hard scale in the final state makes the T-GPD sensitive to the short distance nucleon-nucleon interaction. We perform a toy model computation of this…

This article reviews our current understanding of how the internal quark structure of a nucleon bound in nuclei differs from that of a free nucleon. We focus on the interpretation of measurements of

Excellent particle identification (PID) is an essential requirement for a future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) detector. Identification of the hadrons in the final state is critical to study how
Review of the electric dipole moment of light nuclei
In this review, we summarize the theoretical development on the electric dipole moment of light nuclei. We first describe the nucleon level CP violation and its parametrization. We then present the

Two-nucleon short-range correlated pairs are identified and their isospin structure is deduced as a function of missing momentum in a region where the nucleon-n nucleon (NN) force is expected to change from predominantly tensor to repulsive.
Diffractive excitation in QCD*

Hadronic collision models based on QCD predict remarkably large cross sections for diffractive scattering of hadrons on a nuclear target. The diffraction arises from the overall transparency of a
