In this paper we present a real time pedestrian detection system that works on low quality infrared videos. We introduce an efficient and effective idea of probabilistic templates to capture the variations in human shape specially for the case where the contrast is low and body parts are missing. The infrared videos provide the regions of interest, which considerably reduces the search space and the probabilistic template helps recognize the pedestrians.
