PURPOSE OF REVIEW Primary thyroid lymphoma (PTL) is a rare but clinically important malignancy of the thyroid. This article reviews the diagnosis, histologic subtypes, pathogenesis, and treatment of PTL, with the objective of optimizing diagnosis and management of the disease.
