OBJECTIVE Osteoarthritis (OA) epidemiologic data are scarce in Europe. To estimate the prevalence of symptomatic knee and hip OA in a multiregional sample in France. DESIGN A two-phase population-based survey was conducted in six regions in 2007-2009.
