A cross-sectional study on prevalence and antibiotic susceptibility of E. coli isolated from raw meat samples of cattle origin was conducted in Dire Dawa city, Ethiopia, from November 2012 to April 2013. A total of 384 meat samples collected from two abattoirs were cultured for detection of E. coli which was then tested for antimicrobial susceptibility.
