We examined the prevalence and characteristics of extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing clinical isolates among Enterobacter spp., Serratia marcescens, Citrobacter freundii, and Morganella morganii, and evaluated screening criteria, clinical characteristics and outcomes of infections caused by ESBL-producing organisms.
