Preservation of human cell strains and of tissues by freezing


Four human cell strains including HeLa, Detroit-6 and two strains isolated in this laboratory from normal kidney and reticulo-sarcoma of lung, have been preserved successfully at −70° C, for periods varying from 3 to 21 months.
