Fusarium mycotoxins beauvericin, enniatins (A, A1, B, B1) and moniliformin were analysed in 38 Finnish grain samples (14 wheat, 22 barley, one rye, one oats) harvested in 2001–02. The contaminating Fusarium species were identified with the primer-specific polymerase chain reaction as well as with morphological studies. All the studied mycotoxins were found in the samples. Enniatins B and B1 were detected in all samples, and enniatin A, enniatin A1, beauvericin and moniliformin in 74, 95, 95 and… Expand
Evaluation of Emerging Fusarium mycotoxins beauvericin, Enniatins, Fusaproliferin and Moniliformin in Domestic Rice in Iran
TLDR
The results showed that 46% of the samples were contaminated with at least one of the emerging mycotoxins and no detectable level of Fusaproliferin and moniliformin was found. Expand
Occurrence and co-occurrence of Fusarium mycotoxins in wheat grains and wheat flour from Romania
TLDR
This is the first study applied to Romanian wheat grains and flour samples using a high sensitive multi-mycotoxin method, and which included also “emerging” mycotoxins, which was evaluated in 31 whole unprocessed wheat samples and 35 white wheat flour samples. Expand
Fusarium species and enniatin mycotoxins in wheat, durum wheat, triticale and barley harvested in France
TLDR
Enniatins are, thus, highly prevalent in French small grain cereals and are mostly produced by F. avenaceum and F. tricinctum, while poae made a minor contribution on all crops. Expand
Presence of Fusarium emerging mycotoxins in tiger-nuts commercialized in Spain
TLDR
This work is the first one ever drafted on the presence of the emerging Fusarium mycotoxins in Spanish tiger-nuts and only one emerging mycotoxin, fusaproliferin (FUS), has not been detected in any sample studied. Expand
Biosynthesis of beauvericin and enniatins in vitro by wheat Fusarium species and natural grain contamination in an area of central Italy.
TLDR
A remarkable presence of "emerging" mycotoxins was found in the grains, particularly ENs, which is a global emerging mycotoxicological food problem. Expand
Fusarium and Alternaria mycotoxins present in Canadian wheat and durum harvest samples
TLDR
A picture is provided of the presence, and absence, of a number of mycotoxins in Canadian wheat and durum, which reflected the level of visible Fusarium damage noted in grain samples. Expand
Cyclic hexadepsipeptides in wheat field samples and esyn1 gene divergence among enniatin producing Fusarium avenaceum strains
TLDR
The aims of this work were to examine the amounts of ENN and beauvericin present in naturally contaminated field samples of wheat kernels and chaffs collected in Poland in 2005 and 2009, and to reveal the divergence of the esyn1 gene among F. avenaceum strains of different origin. Expand
Impact of fungicides and weather on cyclodepsipeptide-producing Fusarium spp. and beauvericin and enniatin levels in wheat grains.
TLDR
It seems that beauvericin and enniatin levels are affected by different parameters and behave differently upon application of fungicides, providing new insights into the occurrence of the emerging cyclodepsipeptide mycotoxins in an agro-ecosystem in which fungicides are the main control measure against FHB. Expand
Quantification of Fusarium poae DNA and associated mycotoxins in asymptomatically contaminated wheat.
TLDR
The increasing importance of F. poae in the FHB complex of wheat in Poland is confirmed. Expand
Co-Occurrence of Moniliformin and Regulated Fusarium Toxins in Maize and Wheat Grown in Italy
TLDR
Climate conditions influenced both MON and DON occurrence and when there were not droughty climate conditions, a positive significant correlation was found between growing degree days (GDD) and MON values. Expand
