A key advantage of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is that it promotes the development of innovative multimedia services designed to bring an enhanced experience to the end user. The presenceand availability service is viewed as an indispensable feature for these next-generation services to help service providers generate new revenue and reduce churn.
