Summary Conditioning or preliminary treatment of prosthetic patients has been divided into seven subjects—Motivation, Oral Mucosa and Nutrition, Displacement, Muscle Therapy, Biting Habits, Occlusion, and General Conditions. Each subject may be considered as basic and could be extended into a more complete study. The preliminary treatment may be planned as a short or extended procedure according to the conditions found in each patient.
