The mature larvae of 10 species of aquatic insects (Boyeria vinosa Say, Ophio gomphus rupinsulensis Walsh, Pteronarcys dorsata (Say), Taeniopetryx maura (Pictet), Acroneuria lycorias (Newman), Isogenus frontalis Newman, Ephemerella subvaria McDunnough, Stenonema rubrum (McDunnough), Brachycentrus americanus (Banks), and Hydropsyche betteni Ross) were tested in the laboratory to determine their relative tolerance to low pH.
