Preemptive Priority Queueing System with Finite Buffer Size and Randomized Push-out Mechanism

Abstract

The preemptive priority queuing system with a finite buffer size and randomized push-out mechanism is considered. The randomized push-out buffer management mechanism allows controlling very efficiently the packet loss probability. These probabilities for priority and non-priority traffic are calculated using the generating function method. The theoretical… (More)
