Although radiofrequency catheter ablation of the slow atrioventricular (AV) nodal pathway is highly effective for the management of AV nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT), this arrhythmia may recur in some patients after an ablation procedure that initially renders AVNRT noninducible.
