PURPOSE To identify predictors of mortality within 90 days of cataract surgery. DESIGN A retrospective cohort study. PARTICIPANTS A total of 45,082 patients who underwent cataract surgery in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) between October 1, 2005 and September 30, 2007.
