INTRODUCTION Age related muscle loss, termed sarcopenia, has been linked to an increased risk of falls, disability, and mortality [1]. Researchers have used normalized fat free mass (FFMI) measurements, compared to a reference population to successfully identify older adult with sarcopenia [2].
