The occurrence of marine turtles in the diet of white sharks, Carcharodon carcharias, is reviewed worldwide. Four records of chelonians eaten by white sharks in the Mediterranean Sea are described, which on the basis of carapace remnants confirmed both the loggerhead Caretta caretta and green turtle Chelonia mydas to be preyed upon in those waters. The condition of these remains indicates that large white sharks can ingest turtles essentially intact. As well as falling prey to white sharks, we…

Feeding and migration habits of white shark Carcharodon carcharias (Lamniformes: Lamnidae) from Isla Guadalupe inferred by analysis of stable isotopes delta15N and delta13C.

TLDR
Mixing model data from dermis showed predation in offshore areas such the SOFA and a main importance of pinnipeds as prey of the white shark in Isla Guadalupe.

Tiger shark predation on large ocean sunfishes (Family Molidae) – two Australian observations

TLDR
The attacks demonstrate that tiger sharks are both able and willing to predate on large sunfish; however, based on a paucity of sunfish remains in tiger shark stomach analyses, and a lack of reports of the common sunfish parasite Molicola horridus in tiger sharks, these observations likely represent opportunistic predation events.

Feeding and migration habits of white shark Carcharodon carcharias ( Lamniformes : Lamnidae ) from Isla Guadalupe inferred by analysis of stable isotopes δ 15 N and δ 13 C

Stable isotope composition of marine top predator’s tissues provides insight information of its trophic ecology and migratory behavior. Previous reports have shown that dermal tissues could record

Records of Great White Sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) in New Caledonian Waters

TLDR
The occurrence of great white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) in New Caledonia is documented from 30 observation events made between 1943 and 2009, involving 34 individual sharks.

Impact of jaguar Panthera onca (Carnivora: Felidae) predation on marine turtle populations in Tortuguero, Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.

TLDR
It is concluded that jaguars do not represent a threat to the population of green turtles that nest in Tortuguero beach, and it is not the main cause for population decline for leatherbacks and hawksbills.

Predation by the Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) on Sea Turtle Adults, Eggs, and Hatchlings

TLDR
The protection of saltwater crocodiles in Australia starting in the early 1970s has led to increased population sizes and a greater proportion of larger individuals that likely has resulted in increased predation rates on sea turtles over several decades, which should be considered as an important mortality component for some tropical nesting aggregations.

Movements, behavior and habitat preferences of juvenile white sharks Carcharodon carcharias in the eastern Pacific

TLDR
It is demonstrated that the nursery region of white sharks includes waters of southern California, USA, and Baja Cali- fornia, Mexico, and juvenile white sharks captured as bycatch in both US and Mexican waters, suggesting that management of fishing mortality should be of increased concern.

SHARK-BITTEN PROTOSTEGID TURTLES FROM THE UPPER CRETACEOUS MOOREVILLE CHALK, ALABAMA

Protostegids are Cretaceous marine turtles. Fossil materials assignable to the family Protostegidae range from early Albian to Late Campanian in age and have been described from all continents except

Marine Turtles of the Red Sea

Marine turtles are long-lived reptiles that appeared on Earth in the late Triassic. There are seven extant species worldwide, five of which can be found in the Red Sea: the green turtle, the

Preliminary observations on the biology of the White Shark, Carcharodon carcharias, in South Australian waters

TLDR
The seasonal and geographic distribution of three size categories of white sharks, Carcharodon carcharias ( 450 cm), is described for South Australian waters and sex ratios highly favoured females, suggesting some sexual segregation.

Marine turtles in the Central Mediterranean Sea

The population of loggerheads in Lampedusa was examined during the nesting season in 1985. After successful nesting, it was observed that 101 eggs were laid, of which 67 hatched. This study reveals

Sharks caught in the protective gill nets off Natal, South Africa. 2. The great white shark Carcharodon carcharias (Linnaeus)

TLDR
A total of 591 great white sharks Carcharodon carcharias was caught between 1974 and 1988 in the gill nets which are maintained along the Natal coast to protect bathers from shark attack, and the relationship between catches and water clarity and temperature was tenuous.

Spatiotemporal Patterns of White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) Predation at the South Farallon Islands, California

TLDR
Predation was observed most often within 450 m of shore, with a decrease in attack frequency with increasing depth, within this high-risk zone, predation was concentrated near coastal departure and entry points of pinnipeds, and the predatory attack positions formed linear patterns leading away from the island.

Injuries to jackass penguins (Spheniscus demersus): evidence for shark involvement

TLDR
An analysis is presented of records of injuries and the types of injuries to jackass penguins in Algoa Bay, South Africa, over a 10-year-period, where sharks accounted for the highest number of identifiable natural causes of death.

Satellite Tracking of A Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta Caretta) in The Mediterranean

As a first attempt to track a loggerhead turtle in the Mediterranean by satellite, a single turtle was tagged after nesting on a beach in Cephalonia, Greece. Twenty-five locations were obtained over
