Deoxybenzoins (DOBs) are one-pot synthetic precursors of isoflavones with feature analogous to those beneficial polyphenols such as resveratrol (stilbene) and phloretin (dihydrochalcone). In this study, seventeen polyphenolic DOBs were synthesized and evaluated by various antioxidant assays and tyrosinase inhibitory effect in vitro.
