Using new insights into strongly coupled gauge theories arising from analytic calculations and lattice simulations, we explore a framework for technicolor model building that relies on a non-trivial infrared fixed point, and an essential role for QCD. Interestingly, the models lead to a simple relation between the electroweak scale and the QCD confinement scale, and to the possible existence of exotic leptoquarks with masses of several hundred GeV.

Perturbative corrections to technicolor

The full solution of technicolor (TC) Schwinger-Dyson equations should include radiative corrections induced by extended technicolor (ETC) (or other) interactions. We verify that when TC is embedded

A collider observable QCD axion

A bstractWe present a model where the QCD axion is at the TeV scale and visible at a collider via its decays. Conformal dynamics and strong CP considerations account for the axion coupling strongly

Extreme technicolor & the walking critical temperature

We map the phase diagram of gauge theories of fundamental interactions in the flavor-temperature plane using chiral perturbation theory to estimate the relation between the pion decaying constant and

Running coupling in the conformal window of large-Nf QCD

A bstractQuantum Chromodynamics with a relatively large number of fundamentally charged quark flavours in the chiral limit is considered. A self-consistent solution of the quark, gluon and ghost

Mass splitting in an 331-TC coupled scenario

The root of most of the technicolor (TC) problems lies in the way the ordinary fermions acquire their masses, where an ordinary fermion (f) couples to a technifermion (F) mediated by an extended te...

Conformal House

We investigate the gauge dynamics of nonsupersymmetric SU(N) gauge theories featuring the simultaneous presence of fermionic matter transforming according to two distinct representations of the

Determination of new electroweak parameters at the ILC – sensitivity to new physics

We present a study of the sensitivity of the International Linear Collider (ILC) to electroweak parameters in the absence of a light Higgs boson. In particular, we consider those parameters that have

Mass anomalous dimension in sextet QCD

We extend our previous study of the SU(3) gauge theory with N_f=2 flavors of fermions in the sextet representation of color. Our tool is the Schroedinger functional method. By changing the lattice
