Plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL) is a recently described rare variant of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma characterised by its aggressive nature and plasmacytic differentiation. It most frequently arises in the oral cavity of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients.
