Post-orgasmic illness syndrome (POIS) is a relatively new condition, first described by Waldinger and Schweitzer in 2002. Since then, there have been many cases published in the literature. The common symptoms of POIS include cognitive disturbance, fatigue, memory and concentration issues, and sometimes flulike symptoms such as rhinitis, nasal congestion, and myalgia.
